as I walk these ghetto streets, down towards the square! oh Yea!
I wait for my bus and I pay my fare, its off to work with my pride and flair
people on the bus the talk and stare, they don't understand but I don't care
cuz I know what I want to be, and I'm sorry that it aint you
your society was built for me! but I'm still standing here tried and true

Iv got working class pride
till the day I die

try to be respectable
I'm lower class but you'd never know!

So now I'm rolling up to the factory, I put out my smoke and grab my time sheet
ill shake hands with my friends, start my machines n let the night begin
working for my pay!!! 5 and 6 days a week, making my mark in society

un-employment and poverty skinny kids starving in the streets
got no future so they steal and cheat, live lives of sorrow and agony
the bridge tonight is where they'll sleep
look at them look at me what can we do to better humanity
make more jobs I hear them say but I cant work for ya anyway
I got a criminal background standing in my way
of the American dream and prosperity,
we got millions of people locked away
as their family's starve day by day
Cuz there's NO! NO SOLUTION!
Wake up and be your own solution!
Jails are crowded while streets poor with crime, politicians get rich off you doing time
it doesn't make sense in my eyes, the working class is who you crucify
they don't feel our pain, they don't hear our cries,
they don't really care if we live or die!
There's no solution to the rut your in, except hard work and discipline
I work 2 jobs and I'm still struggling but it wont kill me like it kills all them
I don't fight to lose I fight to win, fight to survive in the world we live in!
